Maundy Thursday commemorates what became known as the Last Supper.  This was the meal that Jesus ate with his closest friends and followers in a room in Jerusalem.  It was a Passover meal shared to celebrate the time when God delivered Moses and the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt.

This video uses contemporary artists interpretation of the Last Supper, to help us explore what this meal might mean to us today.  The 15 images are set to music: Ave Verum Corpus by William Byrd, sung by the Halifax Chamber Choir.

Engage in this video service at a time that suits you.  It is 12 minutes long and can be paused to take a longer look at the artwork.
