EXCITING NEWS:    Hands and Hearts for Africa is excited about 2023 and all the special events celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the work of the Stephen Lewis Foundation. As part of that celebration,  a special Anniversary Quilt is being made in collaboration with both our Canadian Grandmother Groups and our African Partners.

We are especially excited to say that HANDS AND HEARTS FOR AFRICA IS CONTRIBUTING QUILTED PIECES to this project.   In late October of 2022, we asked Linda Lindberg if she would create some quilted pieces to contribute to the 20th Anniversary Quilt.  Linda graciously agreed and in December 2022 her beautiful pieces were forwarded to SLF.     Along with the quilted work, we were also asked to write a commentary to explain our quilt piece designs. Below you will see an attachment containing the commentary plus two photos, one of Linda's quilted pieces and one of our own group's quilt. This has already been submitted on behalf of our group before the January 10 deadline.
