The actions coming from the NetZero Climate service continue.  Mary McHarg (from Rosetown) and Esther Collier hosted a meeting at Rose Town Apartments on January 19th.  About 12 residents attended the meeting and we met one person afterwards who regretted missing it and plans to attend the next one.  The conversation was lively, with diverse opinions. Wonderful people!

The residents felt that, since only 9% of Ontario’s electricity comes from fossil fuels, their priority should be advocacy with some effort to reduce consumption. Residents have started an email campaign to Mayor West to increase publicity around municipal climate targets.   There was also a strong desire to meet again and so the date was set for February 23, 3 pm.
